Vans
Founded by the enigmatic Paul Van Doren and his brothers in 1966, the Van Doren Rubber Company began in California where history was made. Vans permeated skate culture early in the 1970's and Vans shoes were being worn by all the top skaters in Southern California as well as other places in the USA. Many Vans shoes became household staples like the Old Skool, the Authentic, the Era and the Sk8-Hi and these core classics have been adapted and re-modelled for over 40 years with the same results. Vans has become a household name in not only the skate world, but in street culture and fashion in general.
